Jennifer Aniston’s first Instagram post a selfie with her fellow Friends stars forced the site to crash after it garnered over eight million likes in less than 24 hours. Aniston's picture, featuring former co-stars Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, sent fans into an overdrive, and reportedly crashed the app for a while.
Jennifer's ex-husband Justin Theroux who she split from in 2017 - was one of the first people to comment on the photograph as he wrote: "Woot-Woot." Although he immediately commented on her picture, Justin is yet to follow her. Jennifer hinted earlier this week that she was thinking about joining Instagram.
She teased: "[On social media] you can actually have a little bit more control over the narrative that's out there. [You can] right some wrongs and some silly things that, God knows, are said often. Maybe [I'll join]. You never know."
Thousands of fans quickly reacted to Jennifer Aniston’s post and the actress got, approximately, 100,000 followers a few minutes after sharing the epic snap. Among those who "liked" the photo was her former husband, Justin Theroux, proving that everything is fine between them.
In just four hours, the "Horrible Bosses" star had gained 300,000 followers and now sits at 6.6 million followers.
She captioned it: "And now we're Instagram FRIENDS too. HI INSTAGRAM." The post attracted so much attention it temporarily crashed the page, which is now back up and running. Fans have long awaited a cast reunion. September 2019 marked the 25th anniversary of the sitcom’s premiere.
“I can relate to that,” she added. “Of course there are times when you don’t want anyone to see you, or you don’t want to be photographed or even go out of the house. Nothing is as it seems in a glossy magazine.” Aniston said
