Corning Fire In Tehama County and Emergency evacuation underway for 200 acre Evacuations have been ordered in the Corning Fire burning in Tehama County, the Tehama County Sheriff Department said.
The Tehama County Sheriff's Office said all mandatory evacuations have been lifted. All roads listed below have been reduced to an evacuation warning. The fire is now 650 acres in size and 10 percent contained.
Firefighters and equipment from several fire departments are at the scene assisting CalFire as they try to get a handle on this extremely fast moving blaze that is threatening several homes, structures and orchards.
Mandatory evacuations have been put in place for the following areas:
- Rawson Road to Gyle Road
- Huckleberry Road
- Canal View Road
- Long Dirt Road
- No Name Road
- Gyle road
- South and west of Rawson road
- Troutbrook road
- South and west of Rawson road
- North of Thomas Creek Gyle road
- Rawson south of Simpson road, west to Paskenta road
- Everything south of Davis, to Blatchley road and Gibbons Creek
- Cal Fire says the fire is currently 600 acres and at a critical rate of
- spread. It is two miles west of I-5 and moving South.
