School Delays or closed for Friday due to winter weather

Several schools around the DC area are on two-hour delays or closed due to winter weather and a chance of freezing rain in parts of the region Friday.

A winter weather advisory in effect for communities north and west of Leesburg and Warrenton.

Here is a list of school delays that could impact your community:

All Fauquier County public schools and offices will operate on a two-hour delay on Friday, Dec. 13. The school division will reassess road conditions throughout the morning.

Loudoun County public schools are on a 2-hour delay Dec. 13, with Administrative Offices opening on-time. Because the weather forecast is uncertain at this time, this decision may change to a closure.

Spotsylvania Schools are on a two-hour delay. 12-month employees report on time as safety permits.

Prince William County public schools will open on a two-hour delay Friday, Dec. 13. School-age child care will also open two hours late and all field trips are canceled.

Stafford County Schools are on a two-hour delay Friday.

PWCS is on a two-hour delay due to a forecast of icy conditions in some areas

Winchester Schools are closed Friday.
