Drug Cartel In Mexico Kills 8 US Citizens 3 Mothers AND 5 Children Drug cartels ambushed and murdered a number of Americans, mothers and their infant children, in northern Mexico.
Three mothers and six children, including twin six-month-old babies, have reportedly been shot dead.
The FBI has opened an investigation into the massacre of US citizens gunned down by drug cartels in northern Mexico as the death toll has climbed to nine, including three women, 8-month-old twins and four other children, according to reports.
The women were found shot to death at the side of a road in the town of Bavispe in the border state of Sonora, Mexico. The perpetrators, according to Lafe Langford Jr., a relative of some of the victims, are a Chihuahua-based cartel who had encroached on another cartel's territory.
"It is with heavy hearts and unspeakable sadness we inform you that the 2 missing Mothers… along with many of their precious INNOCENT children have been slaughtered and gone to their Rest," a relative, Lafe Langford Junior, wrote Monday on Facebook.
US President Donald Trump has turned to Twitter amid the ongoing investigation to lambast those responsible for the crime and to propose US support for Mexico.
The families lived in La Mora, a Mormon community about 70 miles south of Douglas, Arizona. Kendra Lee Miller, a relative, identified the victims as Christina Marie Langford Johnson, 29, Dawna Langford, 43, Trevor Langford, 11, Rogan Langford, 2, Rhonita Maria Miller, 30, Howard Miller, 12, Krystal Miller, 10, and 8-month-old twins Titus and Tiana Miller.
Mexican authorities have confirmed the deaths of at least five people and have launched an investigation. Early reports and community members say nine people were killed or are missing.
