Alexandra Grant and Keanu Reeves Become Red Carpet OfficialKeanu Reeves has been single for so long that it was a very big deal how he stepped out with new GF Alexandra Grant. She’s the first woman he’s brought as date on a red carpet.

Grant, 46, wore a plunging, navy blue gown, as she was snapped adoringly gazing at Reeves, 55, in his black suit. The two were also snapped walking around outside the event, smiling and still hand-in-hand with their fingers linked.

Alexandra is a Los Angeles-based artist. Keanu collaborated with her on books Ode To Happiness and Shadows. Alexandra contributed to the books with visual arts and Keanu wrote poetry for the volumes. It was first released in 2011 and the next was released five years later.

Inspired by text and language in various media, Grant's work has involved painting, drawing, sculpture, film, photography and books, collaborating with a wide range of artists and writers. Her work has been shown in places like the Harris Lieberman Gallery in New York City and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles.

Keanu Reeveshas long been one of the most eligible bachelors in Hollywood. But despite his handsome looks and kind demeanor, he hasn’t had a public girlfriend in nearly 20 years.

Which makes his new squeeze Alexandra Granta VERY big deal. The 55-year-oldJohn Wickstar held hands with the 46-year-old artist as they posed on the red carpet of the LACMA Art + Film Gala Presented By Gucci in Los Angeles on Nov. 2. She was also photographed looking adoringly at the actor, and they never stopped touching while posing.

“They were smiling and having a good time, and immediately after taking the photo, Will Ferrell spotted Keanu and rushed over to say hello, bringing with him a small group that included his wife, Viveca Paulin-Ferrell,” the witness adds. “It’s unclear if Ferrell and his wife already knew Alexandra or if Keanu introduced them, but they were seen chatting for several minutes before heading into the tented pavilion for dinner.”

Ode to Happiness was a book of simple ink-on-paper illustrations by Grant accompanied by poetic text by Reeves that came out in 2011. The project was her first art book and his first book as a writer.

Keanu’s last known public girlfriend was aspiring actressJennifer Syme. She gave birth to their daughterAva Archer Syme-Reeveswhile eight months pregnant on Dec. 1999 but the infant was stillborn. Following the heartbreak, the pair split up but remained friends.

Tragedy would follow again, as Jennifer died in a car accident on April 2, 2001 when she crashed her Jeep Cherokee into a row of parked cars in Hollywood while trying to return to a party at Marilyn Manson‘s house. She’s buried next to her daughter with Keanu in a Westwood, CA cemetery.

Keanu was last seen on the big screen in John Wick: Chapter 3 Parabellum and had a cameo in Always Be My Maybe.
