A plane has crashed into a building at an apartment complex in DeKalb County’s Briarcliff neighborhood. Fire Capt. Deon Bentley said crews are responding to the scene at the Hawthorne at Clairmont apartments of Northeast Expressway.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), a Piper PA-28 went down shortly after departing from DeKalb-Peachtree Airport around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The plane is a Piper PA-28, FAA said.
The plane came down at the Hawthorne at Clairmont apartments, which is in the area of I-85 and Clairmont Road, DeKalb fire spokesman Capt. Dion Bentley told Channel 2 Action News.
The Piper PA-28 crashed shortly after departure from DeKalb-Peachtree Airport at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
